Busy Day Beef Stew
A hardy meal, perfect for those cold winter days.
3 tbsps flour
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tsps paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 <span class="measurestring" title="can (10.5 oz)">can</span> condensed beef broth
6 <span class="measurestring" title="large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long)">large</span> carrots
1 <span class="measurestring" title="package (10 oz)">package</span> frozen onions
6 <span class="measurestring" title="potato large (3" to 4-1/4" dia)">large</span> potatoes
10 oz tomato sauce
3 lbs beef chuck
6 cups egg noodles
In crockpot, layer chopped potatoes, then chopped carrots on bottom of removable liner. Top with stew beef trimmed of fat.
Sprinkle meat with soy sauce, paprika, pepper and flour. Spread chopped onions.
Combine beef broth and tomato sauce and pour over all. Place liner in base.
Cover and cook on Auto - 7 hours; or Low - 9-11 hours; or High -5 hours. Serve over egg noodles.
Yields 6-8 servings.
