Hot and Sour Soup II
A yummy soup that is spicy and sour.
2 tsps chicken base
1/4 tsp xanthan gum
1 1/2 tsps sambal oelek
2 tbsps soy sauce
1 large egg
3 tbsps white wine vinegar
4 oz boneless pork loin, cooked
4 oz portabella mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 stir fry mixed vegetables
3 <span class="measurestring" title="cup (8 fl oz)">cups</span> water
Mix chicken base with xanthan gum. Add water and soy sauce and mix well.
Add remaining ingredients except for egg. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
In a small bowl, scramble the egg and pour it into the soup while stirring in one direction.
Let simmer for a few minutes more and enjoy.
