Sausage Frittata II
A tasty hot sausage frittata, perfect for any time of the day.
16 oz pork hot sausage
4 oz pepper jack cheese, shredded
1/4 cup heavy cream
10 large eggs
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 clove garlic
1/2 small onion, chopped
1/2 <span class="measurestring" title="medium (approx 2-3/4" long, 2-1/2" dia)">medium</span> green pepper, chopped
Cook sausage with onion, garlic and green pepper in a skillet.
Whisk eggs and cream in a bowl, add salt and pepper to taste.
Lay sausage mixture in 9 x 13" greased pan. Lay shredded cheeses over top of sausage. Pour egg mixture over top of all.
Put in a 375 °F (190 °C) oven for about 20 minutes until knife in center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve warm or cold.
Note: spices can be added for more flavor.
