A heavenly hominy recipe that's healthy and tastes very good.
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp ground oregano
1 cup hominy
1 oz flour
Spray saucepan thoroughly with cooking spray, like PAM, and drain the water from the hominy.
Add hominy, oregano, and flour to the saucepan over medium-high heat, add garlic powder/garlic salt to your taste.
Keep stirring the mixture while it's frying until it starts to turn a golden brown, you might have to add a small amount of oil.
After a light brown, take off burner and let it cool.
Note: if you like it spicy, you can add a few dashes of hot sauce when you're ready to eat!
