Turkey Taco Rice
Taco rice made with ground turkey and cheese.
16 oz ground turkey
2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup shredded colby & monterey jack cheese
3 <span class="measurestring" title="cup (8 fl oz)">cups</span> water
1 1/2 cups white rice (long-grain)
Brown and crumble ground turkey in medium to large skillet until no pink is showing.
Add taco seasoning; blend with meat.
Continue cooking meat for an additional 3 minutes, stirring regularly.
Add water and rice; cover and simmer until water has boiled away, approximately 15 minutes.
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over top of rice mixture. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
Cut mixture into 8 servings. Enjoy!
