Pre-heat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). line standard muffin tins with paper liners |

Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. |

Mix milk, oil and vanilla together in a small bowl. |

In a large bowl, cream together shortening and sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for 3 minutes. |

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. |

Add flour mixture alternately with milk mixture to the shortening mixture and mix well. |

Fill each muffin cup with 2 tablespoons of batter |
