Squash Apple Bake
Squash and apples are representative of New England in the fall, and taste even better when baked together. A wonderful Thanksgiving dish.
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp mace
1/2 tsp salt
2 <span class="measurestring" title="medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per lb)">medium</span> cubed granny smith apples
2 lbs butternut winter squash
1/2 cup honey
1 tbsp brown rice flour
Arrange squash in a 12" x 8" baking pan.
Top with apple wedges.
Combine remaining ingredients; spoon over apples.
Bake at 350 °F (175 °C) for 50-60 minutes or until tender.
