Chicken, Rice & Vegetable Soup
Mama's chicken and rice soup.
1 1/3 cups half and half
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 dash salt
1 1/2 lbs chicken breast meat
3 <span class="measurestring" title="cup (8 fl oz)">cups</span> chicken broth
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup diced baby portabellas
2 cups brown rice
Cook chicken and rice.
Boil broth and once boiled, add celery and carrots.
Add half and half.
Combine with chicken and rice, and seasonings.
Tastes best after a few hours of refrigeration to blend flavors.
