Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff
Just set it and forget it. A great simple but tasty dish.
2 cloves garlic
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 <span class="measurestring" title="cup (8 fl oz)">cups</span> beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup pieces mushroom
1 <span class="measurestring" title="medium (2-1/2" dia)">medium</span> onion
1 tbsp catsup
32 oz round steak
14 ml white wine
1/3 cup flour
Cut steak into cubes or strips and sear.
Meanwhile, add stock, salt and pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup to slow cooker.
Add seared meat and juices to cooker, cook on low for 6 hours.
Turn slow cooker to high and add wine and fresh, sliced mushrooms.
Whisk the flour with 1/3 cup water and add, cooking for 15 minutes.
Stir in sour cream before serving.
Note: serve over egg noodles, wild rice or mashed potatoes.
